Michael is a contributor to Consensus who has covered health & wellness, food, innovation, environment, and money matters at Consensus. He also has written about music, books, film, and travel for places like the Los Angeles Times, Entertainment Weekly, San Francisco Chronicle, and AAA Westways Magazine, and authored a biography on the 18th century scientist Alessandro Volta. Michael majored in history at Kenyon College and has an MFA in Film History/Theory/Criticism from Columbia University. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and daughter, and enjoys listening to little-known new music and watching mostly forgotten old movies.
